(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 255) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for n ew water connection to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Sandy Lane, Middlestown outside number 53.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Sandy Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Sandy Lane, New Road, Low Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 31st August 2026 to 4th September 2026 between 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 259) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for spanning for CBT to property to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Backhouse Lane, Woolley for approximately
40 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Backhouse Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Backhouse Lane, Finkle Street, High Street, The Green & vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new electrical connection, Northern Powergrid to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: St Johns Grove, Wakefield, one way. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of St Johns Grove.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 15th September 2026 to 21st September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Park Square, Ossett, outside number 19. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Park Square.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Cleevethorpe Grove, Wakefield, for approximately 25 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Cleevethorpe Grove.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th September 2026 to
23rd September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 269) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway resurfacing to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Brunel Road, Wakefield, full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Brunel Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 14th September 2026 to 23rd September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
