FOOTPATH CLOSURE EXTENSION - PUBLIC FOOTPATHS NO.1 (PART) & NO.2 (PART) SWADLINCOTE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Derbyshire County Council on 29th February 2024 under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which was to close Footpath No.1 at its jct with Bridleway No.137 for approx. 213m and close Footpath No.2 from its jct with Bridleway No.137 to its jct with Footpath No.3, has been further continued.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: From the jct of Footpaths 2 & 3, follow Footpath 3 southwest then Footpath 4 southeast, then follow Bridleway 137 generally northward and continue on the informal path until it meets Thorpe Downs Road.
Then take the informal path beside the gardens northwest to join Footpath 1. Vice versa from the other direction.
The public footpath will be closed until 3rd September 2028 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner, to facilitate public safety during construction works. Parts of the routes are expected to re-open sooner than others. Any member of the public requiring further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
