THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
(Castle Acre, U22074/ U33280 South Acre Road) - (Prohibition Of Vehicles) Order 202X
Norfolk County Council propose to make the above-named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a Prohibition of Vehicles along the U22074/U33280 South Acre Road from its junction with U33064 Big Wood Lane northwards for 710 metres to a point 120 metres south of its junction with U22075 Blind Lane in the Parish of Castle Acre.
Access will be permitted to premises on South Acre Road which are south-west of the River Nar and north-east of its junctions with the U33064 Big Wood Lane and access shall only be from the southern junctions with the U33064 Big Wood Lane.
This Notice sets out revised proposals for South Acre Road in Castle Acre, following consideration of the responses to a statutory consultation between the 5th December 2025 and 6th January 2026 on a prohibition of motor vehicles with an exception for solo motorcycles.

Any objections and representations relating to the proposed Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. All correspondence for these proposals must be received at: The Office of NPLAW, Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH, marked for the attention of The NPLAW Traffic Regulation Order Team, by the 22nd September 2026.
