TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING ORDER 2026
The Oldham Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along that part of Coronation Road, Failsworth from its junction with Somerset Road for a distance of 120 metres in a north westerly direction.
The alternative route will be via Brooks Drive, Marlborough Drive and Farm Street, Failsworth. Access will be maintained to the southern section for resident access to driveways.
The Order is to be made to allow for the installation of a new United Utilities combined sewer to replace two existing sewers on private land and will be in force for 18 weeks from 12th September 2026, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
