TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
FOOTPATH 2, ACTON
Suffolk County Council has made an Order closing Footpath 2, Acton from Melford Road for 165 metres northbound to facilitate resurfacing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion route will be Footpath 30 from Barrow Hill to Acton Village Hall and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 01/09/2026 - 25/09/2026 but, if necessary, the Order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON
PART OF THE B1112 ROAD FROM THE A1065 TO
NORFOLK COUNTY BOUNDARY, ERISWELL
Suffolk County Council intends to make an Order closing the B1112 road from the A1065 to Norfolk County Boundary, Eriswell from the sewage works for 300 metres southbound to facilitate civil works and ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
It is intended that this measure will operate from 10/09/2026 - 16/09/2026 but, if necessary, the Order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE C950 HALESWORTH ROAD, WISSETT
Suffolk County Council intends to make an Order closing the C950 Halesworth Road, Wissett from 740 metres east of the junction with Grays Lane for 100 metres eastbound to facilitate the replacement of a communications pole. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Grays Lane, Gavell Street, the A144 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 09/09/2026 but, if necessary, the Order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE U3628 BROOK STREET, WOODBRIDGE
Suffolk County Council intends to make an Order closing the U3628 Brook Street, Woodbridge from no. 3 for 30 metres north westbound to facilitate stop tap replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Quay Side, Hamblin Road and no vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/09/2026 - 11/09/2026 but, if necessary, the Order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an Order closing the U4612 Silver Street, Old Newton from Ward Green Farm for 60 metres northbound to facilitate pole and overhead cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Silver Street, the B1113, Hundred Lane, the U4654 from the U4612 to the B1113 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 10/09/2026 from 9am - 5pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be the B1117, the B1118, the B1116, the A120, the B1077 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on the 10/09/2026 from 9.30am - 2.30pm but, if necessary, the Order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an Order closing the U4630 Sandford Road, Old Newton from 65 metres south of the Gables for 150 metres northbound to facilitate cabling work. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be School Road, Chapel Road and vice versa.

(STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND
RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) ORDER 2019 (PARISH OF SUDBURY) (UPPER EAST STREET) (U8703) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (VARIATION NO.31) ORDER 2026
On 26/08/2026 Suffolk County Council made the above Order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would substitute revision 0 of Map Tile GT67, in place of revision 1 of the same Map Tile, into the above-named 2019 Order. The effect of this would be to introduce:
* ‘No waiting at any time’ on:
* South side of Upper East Street (U8703), Sudbury, from the corner of No. 11 Upper East Street, in a south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 8m
* North side of Upper East Street (U8703), Sudbury, from the corner of No. 11 Upper East Street, in a south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 12m
* South side of Upper East Street (U8703), Sudbury, from the corner of No. 13 Upper East Street, in a north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 1m
* North side of Upper East Street (U8703), Sudbury, from the corner of No. 13 Upper East Street, in a north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 7m.
Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload for building, industrial or demolition works; for emergency services; for the maintenance of the road or its services; and for fulfilling statutory duties. There are the usual exemptions for Blue Badge holders.
A copy of the Order which comes into effect on 02/09/2026, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Sudbury Library, Market Hill, CO10 2EN between Monday: 9am - 5pm, Tuesday: 9am - 7.30pm, Wednesday: 9am - 5pm, Thursday: 9am - 5pm, Friday: 9am - 5pm, Saturday: 9am - 5pm and Sunday: 10am - 4pm.
If anyone wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any of the requirements of that Act or any instrument made under it have not been complied with in relation to the Order, they may within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made apply to the High Court for this purpose.

BASED) ORDER 2018 (PARISH OF BECCLES)
(ST BENEDICTS ROAD) (U1738) (EXPERIMENTAL
VARIATION) ORDER 2026
On 26/08/2026 Suffolk County Council made the above Order under Sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would substitute revision 2 of Map Tiles AV173 of the same Map Tile into the above-named 2018 Order. The Order will introduce as an experiment the following:
* ‘No waiting at any time’ on:
* North side of St Benedicts Road (U1738), Beccles, 10 metres of no waiting at any time, to go across the access of the car parking area behind Abbeyfield House these start approximately 30m east of the junction with Ravensmere
* ‘No waiting Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm’ on:
* North side of St Benedicts Road (U1738), Beccles, from the centre of property No 1 for a distance of 20.5m east limited waiting Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm
* North side of St Benedicts Road (U1738), Beccles, from the centre of property No 13 for a distance of 20.5m east limited waiting Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm.
Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload for building, industrial or demolition works, for emergency services, for the maintenance of the road or its services and to fulfil statutory duties. There are the usual setting down/picking up exemptions for Blue Badge holders.
The Order will come into effect on 07/09/2026 and will operate as an experiment for a maximum period of 18 months. The County Council will monitor the experiment and will consider in due course whether the provisions should be made permanent.
During the 6-month period commencing immediately after Orders come into effect, anyone may object to any provision of the Order becoming permanent or make any other representations.
Objections and other representations must be in writing to Suffolk County Council Legal Services at the address below or at: jacob.davis-sturman@suffolk.gov.uk by the end of 07/03/2027 and must state the grounds on which they are made. Please note that any such correspondence cannot be treated as confidential and may be inspected by any interested party.
A copy of the Order and maps showing the lengths of road affected, together with the Council’s reasons for the experiment, may be seen on request at the address below, 9am - 5pm on Monday - Friday and also at Beccles Library, Blyburgate, Beccles NR34 9TB during Monday: 9.30am - 5pm, Tuesday: 9.30am - 5pm, Wednesday: 9.30am - 5pm, Thursday: 9.30am - 5pm, Friday: 9.30am - 6pm Saturday: 9.30am - 5pm and Sunday: 10am - 4pm (excluding Bank holidays and public holidays).
