(BARRATT LANE AND AREA, ATTENBOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (BX26-182)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Attenborough in the Borough of Broxtowe.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of roads:
A. Barratt Lane, Attenborough - From its junction with Attenborough Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 20 metres.
B. The Strand, Attenborough - From its northern junction with Church Lane in a southerly direction for a distance of 140 metres.
C. Church Lane, Attenborough - For its entire length.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 06:00 Hours on Monday 14th September 2026
Until 20:00 hours on Wednesday 23rd December inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Barratt Lane:
A6005 Nottingham Road - Attenborough Lane and Vice versa
The Strand:
Church Lane - The Strand and vice versa.
Church Lane:
Church Lane - The Strand and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on 14th September 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out a Gas Mains Replacement Scheme.
