Bassett Crescent West - Temporary Parking Suspension Due To Gas Works
What is happening?
THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (BASSETT CRESCENT WEST) (PARKING SUSPENSION) (178/56) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.
1. The effect of the Order will be to suspend all parking bays on Bassett Crescent West. Note - the suspensions will be undertaken in phases as works progress along the road.
2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are gas main replacement works.
3. The Order will come into force on 14th September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is currently expected that the works will take 33 days to complete.
