What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(BROAD STREET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Broad Street, one
way, in an easterly direction, from its junction with Stafford
Street to outside property 5.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken from 14 September 2026 until 17 September
2026.
The diversion route is: Ring Road, Stafford Street.
The Order is required to facilitate works for a new service
connection by Cadent Gas.
