ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC PART OF
MILLINGTON LANE, KILNWICK PERCY

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
part of Millington Lane, Kilnwick Percy from Whinny
Hill Farm access road to the junction with Main Street,
Millington commencing 28 September 2026 at 08.00
hours until 30 September 2026 at 18.00 hours due
to the road width being too narrow and unable to
maintain minimum widths.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed
within three days. The alternative route for traffic
affected by the road closure will be via Millington Lane,
Main Street, Martin Lane, Swineridge Lane, The Mile,
Bridge Street, London Street, St Helens Gate and B1246
Kilnwick Road, Huggate CP, Nunburnholme CP, Warter
CP, Thixendale CP, Millington CP, Kirby Underdale CP,
Wolds Weighton Ward. The diversion route will be
signed at the time of closure.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but access
will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles
and pedestrians. Further information can be obtained
