THE BRIGHTON & HOVE (BRIGHTON & HOVE TRIATHLON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
On Sunday, 6 September 2026, the Brighton & Hove Triathlon is taking place. To facilitate its safe passage the route will need to be closed to traffic and therefore Brighton & Hove City Council have made an order under Section 16A to C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which temporarily brings into force the following traffic regulations between the hours of 06.00 and 15.00 or until safe to reopen on this day.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle that is not participating in, or connected with the Brighton & Hove Triathlon to proceed in, exit from, or turn into any of the lengths of road specified below, except upon the direction or with the permission of a Police Constable in uniform or that of a uniformed marshal:
Temporary Road Closures Sunday, 6 September 2026 from 06:00-15:00
Eastbound and Westbound Carriageway of the A259 between Kingsway Wish Road Hove and Western Street Brighton.
One Way Order to be suspended Sunday, 6 September 2026 from 06:00-15:00
West side of Norfolk Square only – one way order to be suspended and traffic direction to be reversed.
