(TEMPORARY CLOSING)
ORDER 2026 The Scottish Borders Council (Car Park – Fruid Reservoir, Tweedsmuir) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 7 September 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17 December 2027, as detailed below. The Order is required for Scottish Water spillway repairs and reservoir maintenance works.
When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of road/public safety, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on the Car Park at Fruid Reservoir:
(i) From 08:00 on 7 September 2026 to 18:00 on 18 December 2026; and
(ii) From 08:00 on 5 April 2027 to 18:00 on 17 December 2027.
