Notice is hereby given that on 18 August 2026 East Renfrewshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and all other enabling powers. The Order introduces a 24-hour Clearway Restriction on a section of the B769 Stewarton Road, Newton Mearns, including the associated verge, in the interests of road safety and to prevent serious damage to the road verges.
The restriction, which prohibits stopping at any time for any purpose, will apply to the following length of road and associated verge:
B769 Stewarton Road, Newton Mearns from a point approximately 1 mile north-east of the extended north-western kerbline of Cairn Road to the access road leading to Middleton Wind Farm, a distance of approximately 960 metres (0.6 miles).
The Order will come into operation on 31 August 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months.
