(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF CYCLE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any cycle to proceed over that length of Main Street, Buckshaw Village (footway only) from a point 13 metres east of its junction with Central Avenue, Buckshaw Village at the most northern point of its boundary with its carriageway for a distance of 45 metres in a north and north westerly direction.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Monday 14th September 2026 until 1800 hours on Friday 25th September 2026 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Cyclists will be instructed to dismount and use the footway.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow emergency inlet fire valve works to be carried out.
