Temporary Footpath Closure
PROW No. 117

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate Electrical works they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a footpath closure in a length of the PROW No. 117 Hazel Lane, Petersham.
2. Whilst the works take place no person may proceed in PROW No.117 Hazel Lane from the junction with Sudbrooke Lane to the Junction with Petersham Road.
3. The order will come into effect on 21 April 2026 and will be in force at all times on 21 April 2026 only. The order will remain in force for a period of 6 months.
4. An alternative route for persons affected by the closure will be available via Sudbrooke Lane, Petersham Road.
5. The prohibitions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
6. Nothing in the Order will apply to:
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

The London of Richmond upon Thames (Prescribed Route)
(School Streets) (No. 1) Order 2026
STANLEY ROAD, TWICKENHAM AND WEST TEMPLE SHEEN, SHEEN
(Reference 25/017)
1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, on 26 August 2026 made the above Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order will come into force on 3 September 2026.
2. The general effect of the School streets Order is to continue in force a school street in Stanley Road, Twickenham at its junction with South Road and the southern arm of Stanley Road operating during term time on Mondays to Fridays between 8am and 9am and between 2pm and 4pm and to introduce a school street in West Temple Sheen between its junctions with Christchurch Road and Temple Sheen Road operating during term time on Mondays to Fridays between 8.15 and 9.15am and 3pm and 4.45pm.
3. Copies of particulars giving further details of the scheme: -
(a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 25/017, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and
(b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements of that Act or of any relevant regulations made under that Act have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
