(SPECIAL EVENTS) (VARIOUS STREET PARTIES) (NO. 3)

ORDER 2026

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on the 24 August 2026 made the above Order under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of this Order is to facilitate the holding of a street party in various streets to allow residents to celebrate a special event within their communities.
3. The street which will be closed is listed in the Schedule to this notice. Full details of the lengths of street which will be closed and times when the closures will be in force will be contained in the order referred to in the next paragraph.
4. Copies of the Order:

   (a) can be inspected until 31 December 2026, quoting Reference 26/157 at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

   (b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices.

5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

   (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

   (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

   (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Footpath Closure Brewers Lane, Richmond.

1. The Council of the LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND upon THAMES HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms works they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a footpath closure in Brewers Lane, Richmond.
2. Whilst the works take place no person may proceed in Brewers Lane, Richmond from the junction with The Green to outside number 13 Brewers Lane.
3. The order will come into effect on 07 September 2026. And will be in force at all times from 07 September to 11 September 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 6 months.

4. An alternative route for persons affected by the closure will be available via Golden Court and George Street.

5. The prohibitions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply to:

   (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

   (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

   (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Road Closure Church Street, Twickenham.

1. The Council of the LONDON BOROUGH of Richmond upon THAMES HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water and electrical connection works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Church Street, Twickenham.

2. Whilst the works takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Church Street, Twickenham from outside numbers 18 to 22.

3. Church Street will be two way for the duration of the works.

4. The order will come into effect 07 September 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 07 September to 18 September 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

5. Whilst the closure is in place an alternative route for traffic will be via York Street, Arragon Road, Church Street. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

   (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

   (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

   (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Glasbrook Avenue, Twickenham.

2. Whilst the works takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Glasbrook Avenue, Twickenham outside number 27.

3. The order will come into effect 31 August 2026 These works are anticipated to be in progress from 31 August to 02 September 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. There will also be parking suspensions in place as indicated by prescribed signage.

5. Whilst the closure is in place an alternative route for traffic will be via Glasbrook Avenue, Ellerman Avenue, Chester Avenue, Lyndhurst Avenue, Glasbrook Avenue and vice versa.

6. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

7. Nothing in the Order applies to:

   (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

   (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

   (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Ham Common, Ham.

2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Ham Common, Ham from the junction with New Road to the junction with Langham House Close.

3. The order will come into effect on 04 September 2026 These works are anticipated to be in progress from 04 September to 23 September 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. There will also be parking suspensions in place as indicated by prescribed signage.

5. Whilst the closure is in place an alternative route for traffic will be via Ham Common, Upper Ham Road.

6. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

7. Nothing in the Order applies to:

   (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;
