TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROADS
(VARIOUS TOWNS AND PARISHES) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for Traffic Signal Junction refurbishment works.
There will be no stopping or waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted each night between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs on a rolling programme commencing 31st August 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures and restrictions in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 18th September 2026.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE U40464 CEDAR ROAD (NORTHWAY PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U40464 Cedar Road from outside of the property known as ‘No.7 Cedar Road’ to outside of the property known as ‘No.3 Cedar Road’ for a distance of approximately 30 metres.

The reason for the closure is for works on behalf of BT Openreach.

The road is expected to be closed on 31st August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C61 Road from Ketford to Pool Hill, from outside the property known as ‘Herridges Barn’ to outside the property known as ‘Chitford’ for a distance of approximately 600 metres. The reason for the said closure is for poling works by Openreach.

The said road is expected to be closed between 11:00hrs and 17:00hrs on 28th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

ROAD (ST MARKS WARD) CHELTENHAM BOROUGH

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the 490811 Byron Road and footway from its junction with Milton Road to its junction of Tennyson Road for a distance of approximately 540 metres.

The reason for the closure and restriction is for resurfacing and kerbing works.
The road is expected to be closed and restricted from 08:00hrs on 1st September 2026 until 16:30hrs on 23rd October 2026.

The reason for the said closure and restriction is for drainage and surfacing works.

The road is expected to be closed and restricted from 1st September 2026 until 4th September 2026.

The reason for the closure is for pole renewal works on behalf of BT Openreach.

The road is expected to be closed from between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 on 3rd September 2026 only. 

However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C87 Natton Road from its junction with Platinum Drive to its junction with Hornbeam Drive for a distance of approximately 350 metres. The reason for the closure is for drainage works to the new development.

The road is expected to be closed from 1st September 2026 to 18th December 2026. 

However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

The road is expected to be closed each night between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs from 14th September 2026 until 16th September 2026 only.

The reason for the said closure is to allow a crane lift for property maintenance.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs on 25th August 2026 only. 

However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
