(Beambridge, Pitsea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Beambridge, Pitsea in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Pitsea Road to its end a distance of approximately 395m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st September 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2406060 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Bridgecote Lane, Noak Bridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bridgecote Lane, Noak Bridge in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Bridge Street for a distance of approximately 115m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st September 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2405110 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Bridge Street, Fore Street, Bridgecote Lane and vice versa.

(High Street, Rayleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close that length of High Street, Rayleigh in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Eastwood Road to its junction with Crown Hill, a distance of approximately 55m.
  2. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

“The Essex County Council (Rochford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 21st September 2026 for 20 nights (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2407930 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while traffic signal renewal works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via High Street, Love Lane, Crown Hill, High Street, Websters Way and Eastwood Road or Crown Hill, Love Lane and High Street.

The Order will come into effect on 3rd September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Palmerstone Road, Canvey Island) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Palmerstone Road, Canvey Island in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Laburnum Grove to its junction with Canvey Road, a distance of approximately 100m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st September 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2401867 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. (Southend Road, Great Burstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Southend Road, Great Burstead in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 165m south east of its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 75m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th September 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03768412328 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while frame cover replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).

An alternative route is available via A129, A132, A127, A176, A129 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 3rd September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

& (Temporary Introduction of Banned Left Turn) Order (No.6) 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Rochford/Borough of Basildon, as specified in schedule to this Order.
  2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway as per schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
  3. To temporarily introduce a banned left turn from Nevendon Road Bypass onto A127.
  4. To temporarily introduce a banned left turn from Chelmsford Road onto A127.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Basildon as specified in the schedule.
  2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Woolards Way, South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 70m north west of its junction with Pertwee Drive for a distance of approximately 35m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st September 2026 for 38 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGMKGL4T – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cheapside East, Rayleigh in the District of Rochford, from a point approximately 275m north west of its junction with Downhall Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th September 2026 for 38 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGLCCD2R – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fairmead Avenue, Hadleigh in the Borough of Castle Point from its junction with Daws Heath Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a south easterly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st September 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2401086 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway and footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Daws Heath Road, Bramble Road, Moorcroft Avenue, Fairmead Avenue and vice versa.

(Thundersley Park Road, South Benfleet) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Thundersley Park Road, South Benfleet in the Borough of Castle Point, from a point approximately 35m south west of its junction with Hill Road for a distance of approximately 65m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th September 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WH2TDH3F – Openreach).
