THE U4005 HIGH STREET AND C41 FONNEREAU ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

* U4005 High Street, Ipswich

* C41 Fonnereau Road from Anglesea Road to Bridle Way

This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Fonnereau Road, Crown Street, St Matthews Street, Berners Street, Anglesea Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 7/9/2026 - 12/9/2026 from 7pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C520 Abbey Hill, Hoxne from property Abbeyview to property Appletun to facilitate pole testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Abbey Hill, Goldbrook, Eye Road, Nuttery Vale, Cross Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 08/09/2026 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

1. the U6136 Back Street, Lakenheath from the junction with Summerfield for 30 metres northbound

1. the U6136 Back Street, Lakenheath from no. 13 for 40 metres southbound.

This is to facilitate remedial works to fix a water leak. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

This is to facilitate safety during carriageway improvement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that this measure will operate from 07/09/2026 - 28/09/2026 from 9pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
