(Bridleway 24, Heybridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Bridleway 24 Heybridge in the District of Maldon, from its junction with footpath 57 to its junction with footpath 12, with additional gate at junction with footpath 58, for approximately 500 metres.
Pedestrians Only – From its junction with Bridleway 60 north to its junction with Footpath 57.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 07 September 2026 to 20 November 2026 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the replacement of the existing floodgates is undertaken.
Pedestrians – Footpath 57, Footpath 53, Footpath 44, Footpath 55, Footpath 11, Footpath 12 and vice versa.
Equestrians and Cyclist – Bridleway 60 (from FP 24) west to the Blackwater Trail and vice versa.
Pedestrians from FP58 – Upstream traffic redirected downstream along Footpath 24, Footpath 57, then follow signed diversion.
The Order will come into effect on 07 September 2026 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Footpath 24, Tollesbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 24, Tollesbury, in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Footpath 18 to its junction with Woodrolfe Road.
Diversion route: Woodrolfe Road, Footpath 18 and vice versa.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 07 September 2026 to 09 October 2026 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public to allow maintenance to the embankment to be undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 07 September 2026 may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.21) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by introducing map tile: TL840 052 and TL840 050 Revision 0.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 04 September 2026.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(Langford Road, Wickham Bishops) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Langford Road, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 215m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th September 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411002WGHVF34T – Openreach). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Main Road, Bicknacre in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Priory Road for a distance of approximately 145m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th September 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2403991 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(The Causeway, Ulting) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Causeway, Ulting in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 105m south east of its junction with Ulting Lane for a distance of approximately 75m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st October 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGRVB51C – Openreach). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Top Road, Woodham Walter in the District of Maldon, from its junction with The Street for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th September 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30001935758 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

(Wellands/Witham Road, Wickham Bishops) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Wellands, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Witham Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Witham Road, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Birch Rise for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 28th September 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013342689A/ EN013342389 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Green Lane, Latchingdon in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Burnham Road for a distance of approximately 140m in a north easterly direction.
