Croydon - Temporary Road Closures & Parking Restrictions Due To Utility Works

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON
Croydon Council - Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, Section 14 - As Amended The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 - And All Other Enabling Powers Belmont Road, South Norwood Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate repairs to a broken cover on a water network valve they, in the carriageway, on behalf of Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Belmont Road, South Norwood.

2. During the works, Belmont Road will be closed at its junction with Portland Road.

3. Whilst the restriction remains in force the alternative routes for diverted vehicles will be as detailed below. Cyclists will be asked to dismount and use the pavement.
- Via Portland Road and Grasmere Road.
- Via Portland Road, Grasmere Road, and Albert Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 01 September 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within three days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement work by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Alexandra Place, Davidson Road and Stretton Road, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) The entire length of Davidson Road will be closed in sections from 01 September to 02 November 2026.
b) Stretton Road will be closed at its junction with Davidson Road, from 14 September to 05 October 2026.
c) The entire length of Alexandra Place will be closed from 01 September to 14 September 2026.

3. During the closures, the alternative routes for traffic will be as detailed below.
- Davidson Road and Alexandra Place closures: Via Lower Addiscombe Road, Morland Road, Stretton Road and reverses.
- Davidson Road and Stretton Road closures: Via Northway Road, Morland Road, Lower Addiscombe Road and reversed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 01 September 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed as detailed above.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL - Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, Section 14 As Amended And The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 - Chipstead Avenue, Nutfield Road & Woodcote Avenue, Thornton Heath Temporary Restriction Of Vehicular Traffic & Parking
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer repair work on behalf of Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Chipstead Avenue, Nutfield Road, and Woodcote Avenue, Thornton Heath.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Chipstead Avenue will be closed at its junction with Woodcote Avenue.
b) Nutfield Road will be closed at its junction with Woodcote Avenue.
c) Parking will be suspended and temporary waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time in the following locations:
i. Nutfield Road - outside Nos. 15 to 25, 16 to18, and 20 to 22 Nutfield Road.
ii. Woodcote Avenue - adjacent to the flank walls of Nos. 18 and 20 Nutfield Road and adjacent to the flank walls of Nos. 29 and 31 Chipstead Avenue.
iii. Chipstead Avenue - outside Nos. 26 to 36, 31 to 33 and 27 to 29 Chipstead Avenue.

3. The Order will come into operation on 01 September 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within two days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

4. Whilst the closures are in force the diversion route for traffic will be via Nutfield Road, Warlingham Road, Richmond Road, Quadrant Road, Brigstock Road and vice versa.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said works.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
