SECTION 14(1)

(Main Street, Bunkers Hill & Lotherton Lane, Aberford,

Leeds) (Temporary 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction)

Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because it is necessary in the interests of highway safety and to protect the local environment from the continued impact of heavy goods vehicles following completion of works by National Highways, pending implementation of a permanent Traffic Regulation Order, Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which is that: No person shall cause a vehicle with a gross maximum weight exceeding 7.5 tonnes to proceed along: 1. Main St, Aberford from the jctn with Bramham Crossroads A64/A1 J44 in both a northerly and southerly direction to the jctn with Bunkers Hill. 2. Bunkers Hill, Aberford from the jctn with Main St in both a northerly and southerly direction to the jctn with Lotherton Ln. 3. Lotherton Ln, Aberford from the jctn with Main St in both a easterly and westerly direction to the jctn with Collier Ln. This restriction shall not apply to vehicles exceeding 7.5 tonnes where access is required for refuse collection, emergency services, bus and coach operations, deliveries, access to local businesses, agricultural purposes, livestock movements or any other legitimate access to premises within the extent of the weight restriction. The Order shall come into operation on 27th August 2026 and will remain in force 24 hours each day for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Abraham Hill, Rothwell, Leeds)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because gas replacement works are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Abraham Hill, Rothwell, south bound between its junctions with St Peters Av and Park West. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Abraham Hill, Churchfield Rd, Churchfield Ln, Meynell Av, Ingram Pde, Park West and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Tuesday 15th September 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Tuesday 29th September 2026. The closure will be in place for 24 hrs on each day. Brad Metcalf Ref: ECO2600215

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because new electric connection works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Burnleys Dr, Methley, Leeds from number 11 to number 19 Burnleys Dr. No diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available but: Cul De Sac access will be maintained for residents; and Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Tuesday 8th September 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Monday 14th September 2026.
