NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Roods Lane, Holmbridge from its junction with Bank Top Lane/Field End Lane to its junction with Flush House Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bank Top Lane, Digley Royd Lane, Flush House Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 14 September 2026 and remain in force until 18 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ROUND INGS ROAD, OUTLANE, HUDDERSFIELD) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that short length of Round Ings Road, Outlane from a point approximately 95 metres from junction of School Lane

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Round Ings Road, School Lane, School Road, High Street, Halifax Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 14 September 2026 and remain in force until 18 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(NORTHGATE, HONLEY, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that short length of Northgate, Honley at a point outside Scale Hill Farm PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Northgate, Station Road, Huddersfield Road, Woodhead Road, Waingate, Bridge Street, Newsome Road South, Jackroyd Lane, High Lane, Ashes Lane, Hey Lane. 

It is intended that the closure will operate on Sunday, 13 September 2026 between 09:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WAIN PARK, BERRY BROW, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Wain Park, Berry Brow from a point outside property no. 13 to a point outside property no. 16 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. There is no alternative diversionary route available.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in South Crosland, Huddersfield:-

School Hill - from its junction with Sandy Lane to its junction with Intake Lane

Intake Lane - from its junction with School Hill to its junction with Nopper Road

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Intake Lane, Arborary Lane, Whitehead Lane, Madgin Lane, Midway.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 14 September 2026 and remain in force until 21 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SCHOOL STREET, MOLDGREEN, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of School Street, Moldgreen from a point outside property no. 70 to a point outside property no. 80 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of School Street, Birkhouse Lane, Belton Street, Lister Street.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday, 17 September 2026 and remain in force until 18 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(LEEDS ROAD, HUDDERSFIELD (PART))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 3) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of cycle lane on Leeds Road, Huddersfield from a point outside property no. 693 to a point outside property no. 685 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for cyclists affected by the closure will be available via the adjacent traffic lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 14 September 2026 and remain in force until 16 September 2026 between 20:00 hours to 05:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PINFOLD LANE, FLOCKTON, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Pinfold Lane, Flockton from its junction with Barnsley Road to its junction with Beckside 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Pinfold Lane, Clough Road, Church Street, Chapel Lane, Jagger Lane, Westfield Lane, Windmill Lane, Haigh Lane, Barnsley Road. 

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 1 September 2026 and remain in force until 3rd September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(VIADUCT STREET/KNOWLE ROAD, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Viaduct Street/ Knowle Road, Slaithwaite from its junction with London Road to its junction with Knowle Road

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
There is no alternative diversionary route available. Closure will be marshalled.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 31 August 2026 and remain in force until 5 September 2026 between 22:00 hours to 06:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ST JOHN’S ROAD/BECK ROAD/ CASTLEGATE, HUDDERSFIELD) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of roads in Huddersfield:-

Castlegate (anti-clockwise) - from a point east of St John’s Road to a point adjacent Castlegate Loop

Castlegate (clockwise) - from its junction with Trinity Street slip road to its junction with Unna Way

St John’s Road (north) - from a point north side of Beck Road to its junction with Castlegate

St John’s Road (south) - from Castlegate to its junction with Rook Street including St John’s Road slip road

Beck Road - from its junction with St John’s Road to its junction with Willow Street

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes: Castlegate (anti-clockwise)

Route 1 - (traffic approaching from St John’s Road north side and the east) - via Unna Way, Southgate, Shorehead Roundabout, Queensgate, Westgate;

Route 2 - (traffic approaching from St John’s Road south side) - via John William Street, Westgate, Castlegate; Castlegate (clockwise)

Route 1 - (traffic approaching from Castlegate south and Trinity Street) - via New North Road, Fitzwilliam Street, Castlegate Loop, Castlegate, Queensgate, Shorehead Roundabout, Southgate;

Route 2 - (traffic approaching from St John’s Road north side) - via Willow Lane, Bradford Road, Northgate;

St John’s Road (north side)
Route 1 - (traffic approaching from St John’s Road south side and Castlegate) - via off-slip onto Bradford Road, Bradford Road, Willow Lane;

Route 2 - (traffic approaching from Birkby) - via Willow Lane, Bradford Road, Northgate, Castlegate

St John’s Road (south side)
Route 1 - (traffic turning right off Castlegate and approaching from St John’s Road north side) - via Unna Way, Southgate, Shorehead Roundabout, Southgate, Castlegate, Viaduct Street, John William Street;

Route 2 - (traffic turning left off Castlegate) - via Castlegate, Trinity Street, Fitzwilliam Street, Besancon Bridge, Fitzwilliam Street, John William Street;

Route 3 - (traffic approaching from Viaduct Street and Fitzwilliam Street) - via John William Street, Northumberland Street, Southgate, Castlegate; Beck Road - via the unaffected length of Beck Road, Willow Lane and vice versa. 

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 31 August 2026 and remain in force until 26 September 2026 between 19:00 hours to 06:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WOODHOUSE LANE/ASH LANE, EMLEY, HUDDERSFIELD) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Woodhouse Lane/Ash Lane, Emley from its junction with Wakefield Road to its junction with Hag Hill Lane

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be via the following routes:-

Diversion 1 - via Upper Lane, Chapel Lane, Leys Lane, Park lane, Station Road, Commercial Road, Busker Lane, Wakefield Road and vice versa.

Diversion 2 (large vehicles) - via Chapel Lane, Jagger Lane, Titus Lane, Drinker Lane, Wool Row Lane, Green House Hill, Bark House Lane, Huddersfield Road then join diversion 1 above.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 1 September 2026 and remain in force until 25 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BLAGDEN LANE, NEWSOME, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Blagden Lane, Newsome from its junction with Blagden Lane/Falcon Street to a point outside property no. 42 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Blagden Lane, Close Hill Lane, Edale Avenue.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 1 September 2026 and remain in force until 7 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SHAW LANE, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Shaw Lane, Holmfirth from a point outside property no. 55 to a point outside property no. 59 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. 

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. 

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Shaw Lane, Fairfields Road, Yew Tree Lane, Cold Well Lane, Carr Lane, Mellor Lane, Booth House Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 31 August 2026 and remain in force until 4 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(COPLEY BANK ROAD, GOLCAR, HUDDERSFIELD) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Copley Bank Road, Golcar from its junction with Share Hill for approximately 100 metres 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. 

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Copley Bank Road, Bank End Lane, Slades Lane, Swallow Lane, Town End, Church Street, Knowl Road, James Street, Brook Street, Share Hill Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 31 August 2026 and remain in force until 28 September 2026 between 07:00 hours to 19:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
