(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2024 (AMENDMENT No.20) ORDER 2026

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order will be to provide car club bay restrictions in the following lengths of road –

No waiting at any time except car club permit holder

South west side – between points 30 metres and 35.5 metres south east of its junction with High Street

No waiting at any time except car club permit holder

East Side – between points 22.5 metres and 28.5 metres south west of its junction with Princes Street

St Lukes Road, Tunbridge Wells

No waiting at any time except car club permit holder

West Side – between points 20 metres and 26 metres north of its junction with Stephens Road

A full statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposed Order, a plan indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the proposed Order may be examined at The Amelia Scott, Mount Pleasant Road, Tunbridge Wells TN1 1AW or viewed online from 3 September 2026 at tunbridgewells.gov.uk/consultation.

Representations supporting or objecting to the proposed Order (your objection must explain the impact on traffic in the locality to be valid) can be made via our website using the above link or alternatively you can write to The Parking Manager, Parking Services, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Town Hall, Tunbridge Wells TN1 1RS by 12 noon on Friday 25 September 2026.
