TEMPORARY RESTRICTION TO USE OF ROAD ORDER 2026
On the 24th August 2026 The East Renfrewshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order authorises the restriction of vehicular access on a section of Rowanlea Drive (from its junction with Merrycrest Avenue up to property number 17), Giffnock, in order to facilitate the safe operation of Scottish Power utility works on or near the road, scheduled to be carried out from 08:00 on Wednesday 7th October to 17:00 on Tuesday 20th October 2026.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route: Merrycrest Drive – Braidhoml Road – Merryton Avenue – Rowanlea Drive and Vice Versa.
