NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(FARINGTON ROAD, LONDON WAY, LOSTOCK LANE AND STANIFIELD LANE, BAMBER BRIDGE, LOSTOCK HALL AND WALTON LE DALE, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH) (40MPH AND DE-RESTRICTED SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Speed Limit Order under Sections 82(2), 83(2) and 84 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1) Introduce a 40mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:
a) Lostock Lane (A5083), Lostock Hall, from its junction with Stanifield Lane for a distance of 48 metres in a north easterly direction;
b) Stanifield Lane, Lostock Hall, Stanifield Lane, Lostock Hall, from its roundabout junction with Farington Road to a point 12 metres south of its junction with the centreline of Fowler Lane.
2) Introduce de-restricted road on the following lengths of road:
a) Farington Road, Farington, the entire length;
b) London Way, Bamber Bridge, the entire length;
c) London Way, Walton-le-Dale, from a point 162 metres south east of its roundabout junction with Hennel Lane/Carwood Road to its roundabout junction with London Way, Bamber Bridge;
d) Lostock Lane (A5083), Lostock Hall, from its junction with A582 Lostock Lane to a point 48 metres north of its junction with Stanifield Lane;
e) Lostock Lane (A582), Lostock Hall, the entire length.
A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of South Ribble Borough Council, Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, PR25 1DH and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
