THE LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST (LBWF)

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1) - The Waltham Forest (St. John’s Road And Victoria Road E17) (Onsite Ltd) (Temporary Measures) (No. 1) Order 2026

The Council of the LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends to make an Order to enable OnSite Ltd to carry out cleaning, CCTV inspection and rehabilitation of foul sewer works in a safe and efficient manner in St John’s Rd E17 and Victoria Rd E17.

The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit motor vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading or parking for any purpose, at "any time" in;
(i) St John’s Rd; between the common boundary of Nos. 128 and 130 St John’s Rd and the common boundary of Nos. 124 and 126 St John’s Rd, and;
(ii) Victoria Rd; from the north-eastern kerb line of St John’s Rd north-eastwards for 10 metres.

Whilst the prohibitions referred to above remain in force, advance warning signage and alternative routes for traffic shall be in place.

The restrictions mentioned above would not apply in relation to any vehicle being used:
(a) in connection with the said works; or
(b) for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes (if the works allow).

The Order would come into operation on 7th September 2026 and would be valid for a maximum period of 1 month or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (Ref: TT30(26))

NOTE: Signage placed in advance of any works in the above-mentioned roads would give more specific details on the exact dates of the effects and of any temporary traffic management as necessary. The works are expected to be completed within 5 days. The order has been extended to allow for contingencies.
