Provision Of New Designated Disabled Persons’ Parking Places (Including A Change From Advisory Disabled Persons’ Parking), Amendment Of Adjacent Parking Places And Waiting Restrictions And Removal Of Disabled Parking Places (Batch 20) (T17(26)) - The Waltham Forest (Parking Places, Loading Places And Waiting, Loading And Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. X) Order 202*

1. Notice Is Hereby Given that the Council of the LBWF proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA).

2. The general effect of the Order would be:
(a) to provide a designated disabled persons’ parking place measuring 6.6 metres (m) in length (unless otherwise specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice) in each of the locations specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice, in most cases replacing either permit, other paid-for, or advisory disabled persons’ parking places, on the carriageway, footway or both;

(b) where any proposed designated disabled persons’ parking place referred to in sub-paragraph (a) above is longer than the advisory disabled persons’ parking place it is replacing, or where there is no existing advisory disabled persons’ parking place in the proposed location, to shorten or remove any existing parking place or waiting restriction in that location by the length necessary to provide the disabled persons parking place; and

(c) to remove each advisory or designated disabled persons’ parking place specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice and, as applicable, replace it with permit parking space, where situated within a controlled parking zone, or extend the adjacent waiting restrictions by the length of the removed disabled persons parking place.

(Note: Where a proposal specified in this Notice is situated within an experimental controlled parking zone, that proposal would not be implemented unless and until the relevant experimental Traffic Order is made permanent).

3. Further Notice Is Hereby Given that the Council, under the same provisions of the RTRA referred to in paragraph 1 above, proposes to reinstate a disabled persons’ parking place in Claude Road E10, outside Nos. 92 and 94, which was removed from the relevant Traffic Order in error.

4. A copy of the Order and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and plans showing the locations and effect of the Order can be inspected until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, on request by either emailing: traffic.scheme@walthamforest.gov.uk, or visiting (*by appointment) The Highways, Low Hall, Argall Avenue, E10 7AS, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; or alternatively documents can be viewed online at: www.walthamforest.gov.uk/content/road-traffic-schemes-and-consultations.

5.
