What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 25 August 2025, Angus Council made The Angus Council (Ride The North)(Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2026, under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order is effective on 29 August 2026 to facilitate the holding of a relevant event. The maximum duration in terms of the act is 18 months. The effect of the Order is to: (1) prohibit the driving of vehicles between 7.30am and 1.30pm, in High Street, Brechin; (2) prohibit the waiting of vehicles between 9am and 5.30pm on East Hill Road/West Hill Road and Muir Road, Kirriemuir, and (3) vary the maximum speed limit to 30mph between 6.30am and 7pm on the A94 Perth to Forfar road at Glamis. Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained. Full details of the Order and alternative routes are available at www.angus.gov.uk/trafficorders.
