The Scottish Borders Council (C11 Ferniehirst, Stow) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 22:00 on 2 September 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 06:00 on 3 September 2026. The Order is required for Rail Bridge Inspection. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C11 at Ferniehirst, Stow. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the A7, Station Road and C11 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (B6374 High Cross Avenue, Melrose) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 19:00 on 30 August 2026 and is expected to remain in effect overnight until 06:00 on 31 August 2026. The Order is required for BT Ironwork repairs. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B6374 High Cross Avenue, Melrose from number 10 to Number 12.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via High Street, B6374, B6360, A6091 and B6374 to the point of closure, westbound traffic is via the B6374, A6091, B6360, B6374, High Street, Buccleuch Street and Abbey Street.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (A698 Cleikhimin Cottage, Jedburgh) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 31 August 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 1 September 2026. The Order is required for BT works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A698 at Cleikhimin Cottage, Jedburgh to the A68 junction.
The alternative route for westbound traffic is via the A68, A699, A7, A698 to the point of closure, for eastbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (D86/4 Mellendean Farm, Kelso) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 31 August 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 4 September 2026 between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for Go Fibre works.

The Scottish Borders Council (C46 Cliftonhill, Ednam) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 1 September 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 14 September 2026. The Order is required for SPEN works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C46 at Cliftonhill, Ednam.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the B6461, A6089, A698 and C46 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(EDGEFEST 2026)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (EdgeFest 2026) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 20:00 on 3 September 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 03:00 on 7 September 2026 - 24 hour restriction. The Order is required in the interests of public safety due to increased traffic attending the EdgeFest 2026 music event taking place at Lilliardsedge Park. When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of public safety, no person shall:
(a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle at a speed exceeding 30mph along the A68 from a point approximately 130 metres south of Lilliardsedge to the Junction with the C66 at North Lodge from 20:00 on 3 September 2026 to 03:00 on 7 September 2026; and
(b) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A68 layby opposite Lilliardsedge Caravan Park or park any vehicle within the said layby from 08:00 on 4 September 2026 to 03:00 on 7 September 2026.
