NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dorset Council Traffic Manager in exercise of the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police hereby modifies the experimental traffic order named above as follows;
The restricted hours implemented by the experimental order to apply between the hours of 8.20am until 8.30am and 3.20pm until 3.30pm, Monday to Friday on every school day.
The modification to the Order will come into operation on 1st September 2026 and will remain in force for the duration of the Experimental Order. The Order can continue in force for a maximum of 18 months. Within a period of 6 months from the coming into operation of the Order, or within 6 months of any subsequent variation or modification to the Order coming into force, whichever may be the later, any person may object to the making of a permanent order.

Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Sandford
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation on 28th September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 6th October 2026.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The effect of the order is as follows:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Various roads in the Parish of Sandford as listed: [i] Keysworth Drive, Sandford from junction with A351 to Keysworth Level Crossing; [ii] Tyneham Close, Sandford in its entirety; [iii] Morden Road, Sandford in its entirety. Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site. Advanced warning signs will be placed on the road two weeks advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the roads.
[2] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Various roads in the Parish of Sandford as listed: [i] Keysworth Drive, Sandford from junction with A351 to Keysworth Level Crossing; [ii] Tyneham Close, Sandford in its entirety; [iii] Morden Road, Sandford in its entirety.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Closure of Chapel Lane, Swanage
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Chapel Lane, Swanage from junction with High Street to junction with Manor Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 100 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 12th September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 5th October 2026.
This Order will provide Connect It Utility Services with safe access to excavate a trench to install a new electric supply connection to new 11KV Sub Station.
A signed pedestrian diversion will be put in place using local road network.
