ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) MOORBRIDGE CRESCENT AND

PART OF PONTEFRACT ROAD SERVICE ROAD BRAMPTON BIERLOW ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice for periods of time between Monday 31st. August and Monday 12th. October 2026.

Residents of properties affected by the Order will receive confirmation of an exact start date before works begin.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Gas main renewal).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Moorbridge Crescent in phases (the alternative route will be via Pontefract Road, Wath Road and vice versa).

(ii)   Pontefract Road service road which serves properties 276 and 278 Wath Road (there is no alternative route).

PART OF DONCASTER PLACE EAST DENE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Doncaster Place central access road and north east quadrant of the circulatory street from Tuesday 1st September until Wednesday 9th September 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via alternative parts of the road.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (new electrical supply).

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Main Street, Mill Lane, Sheffield Road, Worksop Road, Ryton Road, Main Street Slip Road, Hillside and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Repairs to water apparatus).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Symonds Avenue between its junction with Wild Avenue and its junction with Haugh Road from Tuesday 1st. September until Thursday 3rd. September 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Symonds Avenue, Harding Avenue, Green Rise, Haugh Road and vice versa. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Remedial works in the carriageway).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Green Finch Close, Chaffinch Avenue and Nelson Close for short periods of time between Monday 31st August and Monday 28th September 2026.

NOTICE is further given that there are alternative routes, the roads are a cul de sacs. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Carriageway resurfacing).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice from Monday 7th September until Wednesday 9th September 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via local neighbouring streets.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (repairs to water main).

SCHEDULE

(i)  North Road from a point 100m west of its junction with Dene Road to a point approximately 230m in an easterly direction. (ii) D ene Road at its junction with North Road.

PART OF NETHERTHORPE ROAD THORPE SALVIN ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Netherthorpe Road from a point approximately 80m west of its junction with Thorpe Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a south westerly direction from Tuesday  8th September until Friday 11th September 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Back Lane, Worksop Road, Common Road, Netherthorpe Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (repairs to water apparatus).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the three parts of road specified  in the Schedule to this Notice from Monday 7th September until Sunday  15th November 2026.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Installation of water main).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Grange View Road at its junction with Upper Wortley Road (the alternative route will be via Farm View Road, Droppingwell Road, A629 Upper Wortley Road and vice versa).

(ii)   Old Wortley Road at its junction with A629 Wortley Road (the alternative route will be via A629 Wortley Road, Fellows field Way, Farm View Road, Droppingwell Road, A629 Upper Wortley Road and vice versa).

(iii)   Droppingwell Road from a point approximately 15m south of its junction with Farm View Road to the rear of Webster Close (the alternative route will be via Droppingwell Road, A629 Upper Wortley Road, A629 Wortley Road, High Street, Meadowhall Road, Richmond Park Avenue, West Hill and vice versa).
