(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) intends to make an Order on the M5 Motorway in Gloucestershire to junction improvement and associated works can be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to take place overnight (20.00 to 06.00) on or after 16 September 2026 and be completed by 10 March 2027.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the closure of the northbound entry and southbound exit slip roads at M5 Junction 10.
During the closures traffic would be diverted via junctions of the M5 and local roads.
The closures (which would not apply to emergency services and works vehicles), and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works period and would only apply when traffic management measures are in place.
The Order would come into force on 14 September 2026 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
