Notice is hereby given that on the 20 August 2026 North Somerset Council made an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 to include to include double yellow lines, addition of no loading at any time to existing double yellow lines and school keep clears within the roads that surround Milton Park School. Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council propose to make an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to implement parking charges to the Dolphin Square Car Parks in Weston-super-Mare. The details of the charges along with times of operation and other details are described in the Schedules to this notice. Construction of Road Humps

High Street, Worle, and various roads, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in exercise of the powers conferred by section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 (hereinafter called ‘the Act’) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with section 90C (1) of the Act and those bodies or persons prescribed by the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 (hereinafter called ‘the Regulations’) and in accordance with section 90C(2) of the Act intends to construct road humps at the locations specified in the Schedule to this notice.

(1) Flat Top Road Humps referred to in the Schedule 1 will extend across the whole width of the carriageway and will be 100mm in height, 9.9m in length, subject to tolerances in the Regulations. (2) Flat Top Road Humps referred to in the Schedule 2 will extend across the whole width of the carriageway and will be 100mm in height, 4.8m in length subject to tolerances in the Regulations. (3) Flat Top Road Humps referred to in the Schedule 3 will extend across the whole width of the carriageway and will be 100mm in height, 5m in length subject to tolerances in the Regulations. (4) Flat Top Road Humps referred to in the Schedule 4 will extend across the whole width of the carriageway and will be 65mm in height, 28.9m in length subject to tolerances in the Regulations. (5) Flat Top Road Humps referred to in the Schedule 5 will extend across the whole width of the carriageway and will be 85mm in height, 9.4m in length subject to tolerances in the Regulations. This order is required because of carriageway reconstruction and will become operative on 8 October 2026, anticipated to be of 2 days. Work will take place between 8am and 5pm. This order is required because of surface dressing patching and will become operative on 5 October 2026, anticipated to be 5 days. Work will take place between 8am and 5pm. The maximum period for the closure is eighteen months, however, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Temporary Prohibition of Use Order 2026

Date coming into force: 11 September 2026

Ref: T26-72

Will be to close temporarily to all users, the lengths of roads specified in the schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, any vehicle associated with the works and for access to properties only accessible from within the specified lengths of roads.

This order is because of work being executed on the road by North Somerset Council to construct highway improvements and will become operative on the 11 September 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works. Not all roads will be closed at the same time appropriate traffic management and signage will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Well Lane between the junctions with Knightcott Road and Knightcott Road, and for a distance of approximately 75m south of Knightcott. Knightcott between the eastern end of Knightcott to a point approximately 50m west of the western junction with Well Lane.
