TEMPORARY CLOSURE C290 CHASE LANE, WICKWAR (WOTTON UNDER EDGE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C290 Chase Lane, Wickwar from its junction with Mountenerry’s Lane to the county boundary for a distance of approximately 290 metres.
The reason for the closure is for highway gully works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 1st September 2026 until 4th September 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C227 CHURCHEND (SLIMBRIDGE PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C227 Churchend from its junction with Lancelot Court to outside the properties known as ‘Blacksmith Cottages’ for a distance of approximately 135 metres.
The reason for the closure is for water connection works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
The road is expected to be closed from 2nd September 2026 until 4th September 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 501704 ALKINGTON FARM, NEWPORT (BERKELEY TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intended to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 501704 Alkington Farm, Newport from outside of the property on the A38 know as ‘Heathfield House’ to outside of the property known as ‘Calvados’ for a distance of approximately 72 metres.
The reason for the closure is for civil engineering works.
The road is expected to be closed from 14th September 2026 to 19th October 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401624 CLAPTON FARM LANE (BERKELEY TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401624 Clapton Farm Lane Road from outside of the property known as ‘Clapton Cottage’ to its junction with Clapton Road for a distance of approximately 1400 metres.
The reason for the closure is for water mains renewal works.
The road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 14th September 2026 until 17:00hrs on 12th October 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4058 OLD TOWN (WOTTON UNDER EDGE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 4058 Old Town, from its junction with Berkeley Close to the War Memorial for a distance of approximately 250 metres.
The reason for the closure is for gully works.
The said road is expected to be closed between 09:30hrs and 14:30hrs on 16th September 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
