What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF 
WINDSOR & MAIDENHEAD
SHEPHERDS LANE (PART), HURLEY
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) 
ORDER NO. 2 2026
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice , to make an Order, the effect of which will be to:-
Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Hurley Lane from the eastern boundary of property known as “Hendaye” eastward to the access road to Hurley Cricket Club.

The diversion route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Shepherds Lane, A4130 Henley Road, Hurley High Street and Shepherds Lane. 

The purpose of the proposed Order is to facilitate carriageway repair works and as a result there is the likelihood of danger to the public.

The proposed Order will be in operation each day between 08.00 hours and 17.00 hours from Monday 14th September until Wednesday 16th September 2026. There will be a prohibition of driving when signs as prescribed by the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions 2016 are in place to indicate the said restrictions.
