(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Woodfield Road between Northgate Avenue and Lockwood Court. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst new gas mains are laid.

The Order will come into effect on 14 September 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 14 September 2026 and be completed by 23 October 2026.

Any queries about the works to take place should be directed to SGN telephone number 08009121700. Any queries about the effect of the Order on vehicles using the highway should be directed to WSCC, telephone number 01243 642105.
