Ravenside Terrace - Temporary Road Closure Due To Sewer Repair Works

The County Council of Durham (Ravenside Terrace Rear, Blackhill, Consett) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026
The Council on 24/8/2026 made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following length of road. A 14 metre length of road to the rear of No. 35-39 Ritsons Road and No. 2-3 Ravenside Terrace to enable sewer repair works to be undertaken. Throughout the period of the closure, a diversion will be available to vehicular traffic to the front of Ritsons Road. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The works are required from 8am on Tuesday 1/9/2026 and for the duration of the works anticipated to be 4 days. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
