What is happening?

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL

U8084 Shildon Road from its junction with B6306. The Square heading in a north westwards direction for a length of 145 metres.

B6306 The Square to Park Bank from its junction with U8084 Shildon Road heading in a north eastwards direction for its entire length.

B6306 Park Bank from its junction with B6306 The Square to Park Bank heading in a north eastwards direction for its entire length.

B6306 Park Bank to Slaley from its junction with B6306 Park Bank heading in a north eastwards direction for length of 3200 metres.

The Order is to be effective from the 7th September 2026 until the 26th February 2027.

It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 7th September 2026 until the 25th September 2026 between the hours of 08:00 & 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 26th February 2027.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via B6306, C20a, C267, C265, C268 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for resurfacing and other associated works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8198 RUDCHESTER ROAD JUNCTION TO B6318 MILITARY ROAD HEDDON-ON-THE-WALL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8198 Rudchester Road Junction to B6318 Military Road from its junction with B6318 heading in a southerly direction for a length of 125 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 1st September 2026 until the 30th October 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 1st September 2026 until the 9th October 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 30th October 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being B6318, C257, U8198 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

(WAITING, LOADING & PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024

VARIATION ORDER 58 (TRO_101_58)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred under sections 1 to 4, 32, 35, 45 and 46, 61 and 64 (as appropriate) and Part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other powers so enabling, have made the above-named Order.

The effect of the Order, which will come into force on the 1st September 2026 will be to vary the “Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024” by extending the ‘no waiting at any time’ parking restrictions on sections of Dukes Way in Prudhoe.

The restrictions can also be viewed in map format, as the maps form part of the map-based schedule to the Order.
