CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(WILLOW ROAD, POTTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Willow Road, Potton outside number 44.
This temporary closure is required to enable fire hydrant repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 15 to 17 September. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route will be via Everton Rd, Horslow St, Chapel St, Station Rd, Willow Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 15 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(POTTON ROAD, EVERTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Potton Road, Everton outside numbers 15 to 21.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 14 to 16 September between the hours of 0900-1530. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route will be via Everton Rd, Swaden, B1042, B1040, Myers Rd, Potton Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 14 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Ivel Road, Shefford at the junction with Clifton Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable drainage investigation work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 14 to 16 September 2026 between the hours of 0800 and 1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via Southbridge St, Ampthill Rd, A507 and vice versa.

It is expected that the works will take place from 14 to 27 September. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route will be via A600, A505, A6, A507 and vice versa.

This temporary closure is required to enable Pre Patching, Micro surfacing and white lining works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 14 September to 27 November 2026 between the hours 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Crab Lane, Biggleswade between Lawrence Road and Rose Lane.
This temporary closure is required to enable street lighting maintenance work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 16 to 21 September 2026 between the hours 2000-0600. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via Sun St, St Johns St, Potton Rd, B1040, The Baulk and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 16 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(MOGGERHANGER: PART OF FOOTPATH NO. 3)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of Public Footpath No. 3, Moggerhanger which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1219 5064 in a generally north-easterly direction for approximately 70 metres to OS GR TL 1223 5070 and from OS GR TL 1224 5077 in a generally east-north-easterly direction for approximately 714 metres to OS GR TL 1282 5097.
This temporary closure is required as maintenance and repair works need to be carried out on a bailey bridge (associated with Willington Lock Quarry) that passes over part of the footpath. The start date for the works has not been confirmed but the closure will only be in force whilst the works take place. The closure is expected to take place for two days but the order could be in operation for up to six months.
There is no alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation.

(BIGGLESWADE: PART OF BRIDLEWAY NOS. 10 AND 13)
( TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot or on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the lengths of:
I. B ridleway No. 10, Biggleswade which extends from its junction with Bridleway No. 14, Biggleswade at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1944 4596 in a generally southerly direction for approximately 563 metres to OS GR TL 1936 4543.
II. B ridleway No. 13, Biggleswade which extends from its junction with Bridleway No. 10, Biggleswade at OS GR TL 1947 4584 in a generally east-north-easterly direction for approximately 56 metres to OS GR TL 1953 4587.
These temporary closures are required to allow for the extraction of road cores required to determine the thickness and composition of the bridleway construction in advance of proposed improvements associated with future residential development.
The closures are expected to take place from 24 August 2026 until 27 August 2026 but the order could be in operation for up to six months.
There is no alternative route for bridleway users while the closures are in operation.
