The East Sussex (U6321 Pottery Close, Brede)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Pottery Close – for its full extent.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 7 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 11 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U6742 Mayo Lane, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Mayo Lane – from the junction with C345 Watermill Lane to the junction with A269 Ninfield Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C345 Watermill Lane – A269 Ninfield Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 7 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 9 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

George Street – from the junction with U3206 Market Passage to the junction with U3206 Albion Lane. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 7 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 11 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions. To allow Steadline Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Mermaid Street – from the junction with U6437 The Mint to the junction with U6438 West Street. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6438 West Street – U6437 The Mint. The Order commences 7 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 11 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions. To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Hatherley Road – from the junction with A2102 London Road to the junction with U3146 Alexandra Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3146 Alexandra Road – A2102 London Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 7 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 11 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Sandhurst Lane/Whydown Road – from the junction with U6207 Coneyburrow Lane to the junction with C703 Peartree Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6208 Sandhurst Lane – A259(T) Barnhorn Road – A259 Little Common roundabout – C703 Peartree Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 10 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 10 and 11 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Saxon Street – from the junction with A2102 London Road to the junction with A2102 Norman Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A2102 London Road, Norman Road.

The Order commenced 23 March 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 and 28 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Knights Lane – from the junction with U6962 Doleham Lane to the junction with A28 Brede Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A28 Brede Road, Main Road – U6962 Doleham Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 24 and 25 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

Harold Road – from the junction with U3219 New Road to the junction with U3221 Athelstan Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3214 Saxon Road – U3231 Alfred Road – U3232 Edmund Road – U3223 Godwin Road – U3214 Harold Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 and 26 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Hayes Lane – from the junction with U6415 Ludley Hill to the junction with U6943 Starvecrow Lane. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6943 Starvecrow Lane – U6415 Ludley Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 24 and 25 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Crowhurst Road/Catsfield Road – from the junction with C345 Watermill Lane to the junction with C307 Ballards Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C345 Watermill Lane – A2691 Haven Brook Avenue – A2690 Combe Valley Way – B2092 Queensway – C93 Crowhurst Road, Sandrock Hill, Crowhurst Road – C307 Ballards Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 and 27 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C18 Hammer Hill, Ashburnham)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Hammer Hill – from the junction with A271 Kitchenham Road to the junction with C18 Church Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C18 Church Road, Ponts Green, Herrings Road – C277 Bluekiln Road, Redpale, North Road – C16 White Horse Road, The Causeway, Victoria Road – A271 Windmill Hill Road, The Strait, Boreham Hill, Kitchenham Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 and 28 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3159 Magdalen Road, St Leonards-on-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which continues temporarily to close the following length of road:

Temporary Road Closure

Magdalen Road – from the junction with A21 Bohemia Road to the junction with U3160 St Margarets Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3160 St Margarets Road, White Rock Road – A21 Bohemia Road and vice versa. The Order commences 21 August 2026 and is made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice dated 10 July 2026 and a Temporary Successive Notice dated 31 July 2026 under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated the closure will be in place between 21 August and 21 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A21 & U3182 Cornwallis Terrace/Havelock Road/Devonshire Road/Middle Street/ Station Road, Hastings)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road; Temporary Road Closures

Cornwallis Terrace/Devonshire Road – from the junction with U3181 Priory Street to the junction with U3169 South Terrace.

Station Road – from the junction with U3182 Devonshire Road for 20 metres.

Diversion via U3181 Priory Street – A21 Cambridge Road, Bohemia Road, London Road, Sedlescombe Road North – A2101 St Helens Road, Park Gates roundabout, Queens Road – U3169 South Terrace.

Havelock Road – from the junction with U3182 Devonshire Road to the junction with A21 Harold Place.

Diversion via U3181 Priory Street – A21 Cambridge Road, Bohemia Road, London Road, Sedlescombe Road North – A2101 St Helens Road, Park Gates roundabout, Queens Road, Albert Road – A259 Denmark Place – A21 Harold Place.

Middle Street – for its full extent.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic set out above.

The Order commences 24 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 and 29 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.
