SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL

(Various Roads, Various Wards – Pre Surface Dressing) (No.2) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pre surface dressing carriageway patching works. The order became operative from 28 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration in respect of each location. 2. Greenways Road, Yate – from Rectory Close to Gravel Hill Road

3. Gravel Hill Road, Yate – from Greenways Road to B4059 Goose Green Way

4. Grovesend Road, Thornbury – from Gillingstool to its roundabout junction with Midland Way

5. Gillingstool, Thornbury – the entire length

6. B4058 Wotton Road, Iron Acton – the entire length
