(THTTC4260 HATFIELD ROAD, BLOOMFIELD, BATH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Hatfield Road, Bloomfield, Bath from its junction with A367 Wellsway extending west to its junction with Bloomfield Road. USRN: 47900046.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Virgin Media to carry out civils works from the 1st September 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for THREE DAYS.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:

• a road closure in that length of Ashley Road, Bathford, Bath from a point outside 66 Ashley Road extending east for approximately 42 metres. USRN: 47904449.

• a footpath closure in that length of Footpath The Garstons, Bathford, Bath from its junction with Ashley Road extending south to its junction with Garstons. USRN: 47905298.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road/ footpath to enable National Grid to carry out low voltage cable excavation and installation works from the 1st September 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road/footpath will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for

FOUR WEEKS between 09:00 - 15:30hrs.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Colliery Lane, Peasedown St John, Bath from its junction with Braysdown Lane/Gassons extending for its entire length. This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to build a new carriageway/verge joint box and lay new duct from the 18th September 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:

• Somerset Lane, Lansdown, Bath from a point outside 6 Somerset Lane extending west to its junction with Winifred’s Lane. USRN: 47913633.

• Winifred’s Lane, Lansdown, Bath at its junction with Somerset Lane extending north for approximately 30 metres. USRN: 47901451.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Virgin Media to complete desilting of chambers on the 14th September 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 09:30 - 15:00hrs.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wales & West Utilities to lay a new gas service for customer from the 14th September 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for FIVE DAYS.
