ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14 

THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) 

(NEW ROAD, GREAT TORRINGTON) ORDER 2026
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC & PARKING 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 31/8/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 5/9/26. 

Between the hours of 19:00 & 06:00. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed or wait on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: NEW ROAD, GREAT TORRINGTON The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - A386 TOWARDS HATHERLEIGH, A3072 TOWARDS HOLSWORTHY, A388 TOWARDS BIDEFORD, A386 TOWARDS TORRINGTON & VICE VERSA.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW ZEBRA CROSSING & CARRIAGEWAY RE-SURFACING WORKS.

(ROAD FROM BRAESIDE TO SUMMERS MOOR CROSS, WINKLEIGH) ORDER 2026 
TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 1/9/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 7/9/26. 

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed greater than 30 miles per hour on the sections of Affected Roads when temporary traffic signing is in place. 

Roads affected: ROAD FROM BRAESIDE TO SUMMERS MOOR CROSS, WINKLEIGH. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: DRAINAGE WORKS.

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 28/8/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 30/10/26. No person shall cause or permitanyvehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: WILDER ROAD, ILFRACOMBE, (RUNNYMEAD GARDENS). 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: UNSUPPORTED ROAD DUE TO EROSION OF THE RETAINING LAND.
