What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
CHAPEL STREET, ILKESTON

WHEN: 14 September to 19 September 2026 (20:00 to 05:00 each night).
WHERE: Chapel Street, Ilkeston between the Jct. of Bath Street, and the Jct. of Albion Street.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Wilmot Street, Fullwood Street, Lord Haddon Road, Pelham Street, Bath Street, Station Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
