What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(ON STREET PARKING PLACES)
(CIVIL ENFORCEMENT) (CONSOLIDATION)
(AMENDMENT NO 70) (VARIOUS STREETS,
BRIDLINGTON, BOYNTON AND
WOLD NEWTON) ORDER 2026

1. On 27 August 2026, East Riding of Yorkshire
Council made this Order which will be operative
from 27 August 2026, the effect of which will be to:
a) To introduce mandatory School Keep Clear markings
(No Stopping Monday to Friday between 8.15am and
9.15am and between 2.45pm and 3.45pm) on the
B1253, Boynton.
b) To replace the existing advisory School Keep
Clear markings with mandatory School Keep Clear
restrictions (No Stopping Monday to Friday between
8.15am and 9.15am and between 2.30pm and 3.30pm)
on Burstall Hill, Bridlington.
c) To replace the existing informal school bus stop with
a Bus Stand (No Stopping Monday to Friday between
8am and 9am and between 2.15pm and 3.15pm on
Bessingby Road, Bridlington.
d) To introduce No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on
Bessingby Road, Bridlington.
e) To introduce mandatory School Keep Clear markings
(No Stopping Monday to Friday between 8.15am and
9.15am and between 3pm and 4pm) on Back Street,
Wold Newton.
f) To introduce No Waiting restrictions (Monday to
Friday between 8.15am and 9.15am and between
3pm and 4pm) on Back Street, Wold Newton.
2. A copy of the Order and relevant plan may be
examined during normal office hours at Town Hall,
Quay Road, Bridlington, YO16 4LP.
3. If you wish to question the validity of this Order or
of any provision contained within it on the grounds
that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that
any requirement of that Act or any instrument made
under it has not been complied with in relation to the
Order, you may, within six weeks from 27 August
2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
