What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
COWLEY LANE, HOLMESFIELD
WHEN: 14 September to 16 September 2026 (09:00 to 18:00 each day).
WHERE: Cowley Lane, Holmesfield from the Jct. with the B6040 Main Road for a distance of 400m in a south easterly direction.
REASON: To facilitate ducting repair works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Cowley Lane, Dobbin Lane, Brindwoodgate, Highlightley Lane, B6051
New Road, Millthorpe Lane, Cartledge Lane, B6040 Main Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
