LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(WEST VIEW AND WOONE LANE, CLITHEROE, RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 13th August 2026 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Introduce a restriction of waiting Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm in the following lengths of road:
a) West View, Clitheroe, the north west side, from its junction with the Centreline of Victoria Street to its junction with the Centreline of Back Victoria Street;
b) West View, Clitheroe, the south east side, from its junction with the Centreline of Vicarage Road North to its junction with the Centreline of Vicarage Road South;
c) Woone Lane, Clitheroe, the north west side, from its junction with the Centreline of Vicarage Road South to its junction with the Centreline of Vicarage Road North;
d) Woone Lane, Clitheroe, the south east side, from a point 11.5 metres south of its junction with the Centreline of Victoria Street for a distance of 29.5 metres in a north easterly direction.
2. Introduce a restriction of loading Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm on the following lengths of road:
a) West View, Clitheroe, the north west side, from its junction with the Centreline of Victoria Street to its junction with the Centreline of Back Victoria Street;
b) West View, Clitheroe, the south east side, from its junction with the Centreline of Vicarage Road North to its junction with the Centreline of Vicarage Road South;
c) Woone Lane, Clitheroe, the north west side, from its junction with the Centreline of Vicarage Road South to its junction with the Centreline of Vicarage Road North;
d) Woone Lane, Clitheroe, the south east side, from a point 11.5 metres south of its junction with the Centreline of Victoria Street for a distance of 29.5 metres in a north easterly direction.
This Order will come into force on the 31st August 2026. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Ribble Valley Borough Council, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, BB7 2RA, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
