NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO STOP UP PART OF OLIVET
ROAD, WOODSEATS, SHEFFIELD, S8
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Sheffield City Council being the Highway Authority for the said City intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court
sitting at Castle Street, Sheffield, on 30 September 2026 at 10:00am for an Order, under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising that the area of highway described in the Schedule below be stopped up on the ground that it is unnecessary.
The effect of the Order is shown on the plan which may be inspected free of
charge at the Moorfoot Building, Sheffield, S1 4PL, at all reasonable hours. The plan can also be viewed on the Council’s website:

On the hearing of the application any person who is interested in land abutting on or served by the said area of highway or uses the said area of highway or is otherwise aggrieved shall have a right to be heard. Any person intending to attend the hearing of the application is requested to inform me, quoting the above reference, before the date of the hearing of their intention to appear.
SCHEDULE
An area forming part of the unadopted public highway of Olivet Road, Woodseats, shown hatched black on the Order plan, commencing at the junction with Helmton Drive at the rear of the eastern footway shown as point ‘A’ on the Order plan, point A being at map reference 435101:383063 heading in a generally north easterly direction for a distance of 30.2 metres with a maximum width of 13.0 metres to a point shown as ‘B’ on the Order plan, point B being at map reference 435129:383074.
