NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO STOP UP PART OF CHURCH
LANE, DORE, SHEFFIELD, S17 3GT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Sheffield City Council being the Highway Authority for the said City intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court
sitting at Castle Street, Sheffield, on 30 September 2026 at 10:00am for an Order, under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising that the area of highway described in the Schedule below be stopped up on the ground that it is unnecessary.
The effect of the Order is shown on the plan which may be inspected free of charge at the Moorfoot Building, Sheffield, S1 4PL, at all reasonable hours. The plan can also be viewed on the Council’s website:

On the hearing of the application any person who is interested in land abutting on or served by the said area of highway or uses the said area of highway or is otherwise aggrieved shall have a right to be heard. Any person intending to attend the hearing of the application is requested to inform me, quoting the above reference, before the date of the hearing of their intention to appear.
SCHEDULE
An area of all-purpose highway forming part of the verge of Church Lane, Dore, shown hatched on the Order plan, commencing at a point on the western side of Church Lane at the junction with Blackamoor Road shown as point ‘A’ on the Order plan, point A being at map reference 430607:380816 heading in a north easterly direction for a distance of 38.3 metres with a maximum width of 5.3 metres to a point shown as ‘B’ on the Order plan, point B being at map reference 430619:380852
