Enfield - Multiple Temporary Traffic Restrictions for Works and an Event

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF ENFIELD
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984- Section (14.1)

The council of The London Borough of Enfield intend to make the Temporary Traffic Orders described below.

Church Street, Ainsley Close N9
Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Date and times"At any time" on 2 September 2026 for 15 weeks or until works are completed.
The general effect of the Order would be to;
Church Street
- suspend parking on this road between its junction with Little Bury Street N9 and Firs Park Avenue N21, on both sides of the road; and

- prohibit traffic from making a right turn into Ainsley Close from Church Street into and from making a left turn from Church Street into Ainsley Close.

Ainsley Close
- prohibit traffic from making a right turn from Ainsley Close into Church Street and from making a left turn from Ainsley Close into Church Street.

Freston Gardens EN4
Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Highway Works
Operational Date and times: "Between 08:00–18:00 on 2 September 2026 for 1 day or until works are completed.
The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road between Cockfosters Road and Leys Gardens.

Hertford Road EN3
Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Date and times: "At any time on 3 September 2026 for 1 day or until works are completed."
The general effect of the Order would be to close the northbound cycle lane on this road adjacent to No. 638 Hertford Road. Cyclists would be required to dismount and walk the length of the closure or join the main carriageway to continue cycling.

Sweet Briar Grove, Darley Road, Tranmere Road N9
Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Date and times: "At any time" on 2 September 2026 on a phased basis for 15 weeks or until works are completed.
The general effect of the Order would be to;
Sweet Briar Grove
- prohibit entry into Sweet Briar Grove from Central Avenue by means of a no left turn and no right turn restriction; and

Darley Road
- suspend parking on both sides of this road for its entire length; and

Tranmere Road
- suspend parking on both sides of this road.

Fore Street N18
Reason for 14(1) Order – Event Tottenham Hotspur Stadium N17
Operational Date and times: "Between 20:30–23:59 hours on the following dates; 4th September 2026, 5th September 2026, 26th September 2026."
The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking, loading and stopping on the western side, from its junction with High Road N17 to the junction with the A406 North Circular Road.

Uplands Park Road, Postern Green EN2
Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Date and times: "At any time" on 7 September 2026 for 14 days or until works are completed.
The general effect of the Order would be to;
Uplands Park Road
- suspend parking on this road between its junction with Chase Ridings and Vulcan Gate on both sides of the road; and

Postern Green
- suspend parking on this road from its junction with Uplands Park Road for approximately 40 metres, on both sides of the road.

Connop Road EN3
Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Works
Operational Date and times"Between 8:00am – 4:00pm on 9 September 2026 for 1 day or until works are completed."
The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road, south side between No. 28 and Hertford Road EN3.

The provisions of the Orders shall apply only at such times and as directed by Traffic signs. Whilst roads are closed local diversions would be in place and access would be maintained only as far as the works allow for more information contact 0208 379 2039 or email: NRSWA@enfield.gov.uk.
